Princess Cruises has just revealed the details of its 2015 World Cruise, which is sure to please all those who are looking ahead to book a once-in-a-lifetime journey around the globe.
The epic voyage which takes place on-board the line’s Sea Princess vessel, visits 41 different destinations in 28 countries on a 104-night journey which will circumnavigate the globe and depart from Sydney, Melbourne or Freemantle and continuing with the Australian theme, includes a maiden stop at the country’s the wine-rich Margaret River region. Interestingly, there are more South American cruise destinations than have ever previously been visited by a line in one cruise, with calls at a number of ports in the region including Cartagena and Pisco.
Lovers of city culture will be sure to make the most out of stops at Rome, Istanbul, Athens, New York and Venice while the more adventurous outdoor lovers will be raring to explore Iceland and Easter Island. Princess Cruises is the only cruise line to offer a world cruise which departs from the southern hemisphere, something which is sure to prove an attraction for Australian cruisers and those wishing to enjoy a Sydney cruise and stay before they set sail. The option of a Freemantle departure is another first for the line, offering the opportunity to depart from Western Australia.
The World Cruise is a highlight of the Princess Cruises winter 2015 programme, which in total calls at 80 different destinations throughout the world. Other departures offered by the line in 2015 include a 15-night Papua New Guinea departure on the Dawn Princess and a 26-night South East Asia sailing which includes stops in Bali, Ho Chi Minh City and Bangkok. The line also offers a Northern Explorer voyage which explores Australia’s northern coastline in detail and includes stops at such ports as Port Douglas, Darwin, Broome and Gerladton, and which is a great choice for those looking for an in-depth Australia cruise.
