We’ve seen many cruise ships set sail on their maiden voyages in 2019. As we move into 2020, this doesn’t show any signs of slowing down! There are many cruise ships on order for next year, it can be hard to keep track. So, we have compiled a list of all the cruise ships due to set sail in 2020 and join their respective fleets.

Scarlet Lady
Virgin Voyages – 1 April 2020
Not just a new cruise ship, but a new cruise line! Virgin Voyages’ very first cruise ship, Scarlet Lady, will be sailing for the Caribbean as an adult-only holiday paradise. Offering unique venues such as a tattoo parlour, vegan eateries and innovative technologies in every room, Scarlet Lady is certainly one-of-a-kind.
Scarlet Lady will set sail for her inaugural Fire and Sunset Soirées itinerary on 1 April 2020, sailing from Miami to Key West, Virgin Voyages’ private island – The Beach Club at Bimini – then back to Miami.

Celebrity Apex
Celebrity Cruises – 5 April 2020
Sister-ship to the much-anticipated Celebrity Edge, Celebrity Apex will be just as extraordinary. Look forward to seeing the Magic Carpet, enjoying drinks in the brand-new multi-level venue, Eden, and exploring a ship that is designed in true modern luxury for Celebrity Cruises.
Celebrity Apex’s maiden voyage will set sail on an inaugural round-trip cruise from Southampton on 5 April 2020, visiting Bilbao and Lisbon.

Carnival Radiance
Carnival Cruise Line – 29 April 2020
Carnival Radiance will emerge in 2020 from the former shadow of Carnival Victory. Carnival Cruise Line will be refurbishing the ship, adding many more features such as the first-ever Big Chicken restaurant, plus the latest bars and pubs, sports activities, spa amenities and more!
The ship will be setting sail from three homeports – Barcelona, New York and Port Canaveral – offering a wide range of itineraries to suit everyone. Her maiden voyage, Europe from Barcelona, will set sail on 29 April for 10-nights.

Iona
P&O Cruises – 23 May 2020
P&O Cruises’ latest addition will be offering the next generation of customers the holiday of a lifetime with Iona. With a range of dining venues, innovative social spaces and an inaugural season spent sailing in the Norwegian Fjords, Iona offers the ultimate ship experience for 2020.
Iona’s maiden voyage sets sail from Southampton on a seven-night sailing to the Norwegian Fjords on 23 May 2020.

Enchanted Princess
Princess Cruises – 19 June 2020
The fifth Royal Class ship set to join the Princess Cruises’ fleet in 2020, Enchanted Princess will offer a range of spectacular new attractions all on her own. With the most pools and whirlpool hot tubs ever; world-class entertainment; and the breath-taking new Sky Suite – she surely will enchant all who step aboard!
She will set sail from Rome on 19 June 2020, offering a nine-night European Explorer Preview Voyage to the ports of Florence, Toulon, Barcelona, Gibraltar, Lisbon and ending in Southampton.

Spirit of Adventure
Saga Ocean – 21 August 2020
Spirit of Adventure is Saga Ocean’s second brand new ship, following Spirit of Discovery in 2019. She will be the sister-ship to Spirit of Discovery, but with a few unique aspects of her own such as two new speciality restaurants and vibrant new cabins, all of which have a private balcony for every guest!
The maiden voyage, The Inaugural Cruise, will be setting sail from Dover on a 17-night cruise to ports including Copenhagen, St. Petersburg, Tallinn, Stockholm and more.

Mardi Gras
Carnival Cruise Line – 31 August 2020
Mardi Gras is certainly a ship to get excited about, joining the Carnival Cruise Line fleet in 2020. She will be all-singing, all-dancing in true Carnival Cruise Line style, boasting the first-ever rollercoaster at sea: BOLT™! It will also feature six distinct zones for dining, drinking and all-round fun.
Her maiden voyage will be Europe from Copenhagen, a nine-night cruise on 31 August 2020 visiting ports including Copenhagen, Kiel, Gothenburg, Oslo, Belgium and more.

Odyssey of the Seas
Royal Caribbean – October 2020
Odyssey of the Seas is the second Quantum Class Ultra ship for Royal Caribbean, after Spectrum of the Seas. She will be setting sail for Europe in late 2020, where she has been confirmed to visit the UK.
As Odyssey of the Seas is still under construction, her itineraries have not been fully confirmed.
MSC Virtuosa
MSC Cruises – 13 November 2020
MSC Virtuosa will be joining in November 2020, becoming one of the two largest ships in the MSC Cruises’ fleet – alongside her sister-ship, MSC Grandiosa. Experience fantastic on-board entertainment with Cirque du Soleil at Sea shows, as well as the innovative, virtual cruise assistant – Zoe.
Her maiden voyage will be setting sail on 13 November 2020, departing from Barcelona and visiting ports including Genoa, Palermo, Valletta and more.
